Anne Perry (   D   ) was born 1939 in Blackheath, England, and was very often very ill, so much she missed several years of school. Thanks to her parents, who taught her how to read and write and sent her out of England which probably saved her life, she still managed to keep up. When she was twenty she started to write books. It took her a decade or two until her first book, The Cater Street Hangman, was published (it was not the first book she wrote, only the first she published).

Books: The Vicar Joseph Reavely Series, The Monk Series, The Pitt Series, The WW1 Series, the Christmas Series, Tathea Series, Célie Laurent Series

Anthologies: Thou shalt not kill
