And to the next part of the series... King of the Murgos (in German König der Murgos, in French Le roi des Murgos). I read it in English where it contained 404) pages.

With his new bunch of more or less competent adventurers and under the supervision of the mysterious Cyradis, Garion follows the rail of Zandramas to save his only son and heir. His search send him through the kingdoms of the west - and even farther away from home. But is there even a slight chance of success? All the while, Belgarath searches in the prophecies for clues...

I think the book was okay, but not more. The first half is really slow, because it is more of less a repetition of the Belgariad. That sucks. But apart from that, it's well done, especially the characters - like Urgit and Liselle - and Zith, of course. And it's well explained. Why it's so slow, such a repetition. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Fortunately the characters stay gorgeous. Like Eriond puts out the fires. Just. Like. That. That boy's really special. And the dragon-thing – poor, poor Pol! Really. Good she has Durnik, She really needed him.

Apart from that, I'm sorry for Ce'Nedra, and I'm glad she slowly recovers, even though she has periods of this throughout the whole series. Poor, poor girl. Really, there can't be worse for a mother than to have a baby and then something happenes to the poor little thing. And she can't help. That must be sheer hell.

But Salmisra's reaction to Polgara's really well done. And it's sruprising, really, even though it makes sense.

I give it stars for characters, content and style, minus one for the ideas.
