Le livre du temps (2) - Les sept pièces by Guillaume Prévost

The next part of the series... Les sept pièces (in German Die sieben Münzen, in English The Gate of Days). I read it in German where it contained 318 pages.

On his quest to rescue his father, Sam gets help: His cousin, Lili, travels with him. Her help becomes crucial to him when he doesn't only have to cope with all the different times but also has to fight the strange man with the Hator-sign on his shoulder... All the while trying to find a way to rescue Sam's father from Vlad Tepes, the model for Dracula...

Let me begin with the content mistakes, or rather questions I have: Is it Fontana or Montana? Helen or Helena? Because at least in my edition they mix it. However, apart from this is actually pretty cool. The grandparents are... interesting. Little grandpa is so sweet... really. I like him.

As for Lili: I so like her. She's really cool, especially the intelligence in contrast to all this girlie-girl stuff. Even though it's a little strange that the twelve-year-old Lili knows more about history than Sam, who is older, supposedly read lots of books and is interested in history.

As for Alicia... she's something as well. I'm sorry for her. She tried to be there for Sam and he didn't let her. And then, when she finally moved on, he's on her door mat again. That would piss me off as well.

Rudolf is an ass. Seriously. I hate him.

And... well, that's actually all I can write about this book. Sorry.

I give it stars for ideas and characters.
