Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (3) - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - Harry Potter by Joanne K. Rowling
And part 3 of 7 of the HP-Books: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (in German Harry Potter und der Gefangene von Askaban, in French Harry Potter et le prisonnier d'Azkaban). I read it in German where it contained 448 pages.
After blowing up is Aunt March, Harry thought he'd be thrown out of his one and only home: Hogwarts. But no! The prime minister forgives him and sends him back to the school for young wizards and witches. Which is odd. But even more strange is, that suddenly everyone tells him to be cautious and not go out of the school alone... And the dementors that launch at every corner in Hogwarts and let him relive the worst time in his life: When his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort. But why all these precautions? All because one person broke out of the prison of the magic world? What has that to do with Harry?
This book was tense and funny. SPOILER ALERT:But there were lots of mistakes in it, too: How did Ron break his leg? The thigh bone is very strong, it would have needed a lot more force to break it than only bumping in a wall! Additonally, Black bit him in the arm: Why is there no wound? This is impossible! And, another mistake: When they bring Wormtail out of the Howling Hut, why did they chain him against Ron, who had this broken leg (no matter how little sense it makes)? They could have chained Wormtail against Hermione! And how can Black and Harry talk with each other, if Black too is chained to Wormtail? Hm... The style in this book is not that great, as always to much say, ask, whirled etc. The characterers were not that convincing, either.
All in all I give it a star for ideas and the animals (Crooktail, mostely). Minus one for the mistakes.
