Philippa Gregory (D) was born 1954 in Kenia, but at the age of two she and her family moved to England. She studied in University of Sussey, at first she worked in journalism, two years for BBC, than she studied again and earned a doctorate in 18th century history at the University of Edinburgh. She married three times and has two children, a daughter from her first husband and a son form the second. Right now she lives with her children, stepchildren and her third husband on a farm in the North York Moors national park.
