And now to book 5, Lord of Misrule (in German Der Nacht geweiht, in French La Maître du chaos), I read it - take an aducated guess - in German, where it had 286 pages.Originally published 2009.

Every Vampire Morganville's disappears without a trace, Bishop and Amelie, Morganville's most powerful vampires, are fighting each other, the whole town is a chaos, rumour has it the vampires disease gets worse and worse everyday and Claire knows, if she doesn't find a healing potion, every vampire who isn't with Bishop will die. When finally the vampires get back again, a Shane's dad and a hurricane follows them and Bishop is about to use the chaos of it to destroy his daughter...

W.O.W. This is really cool! The book is as tense, funny, fascinating and realistic (if you can call a fantasy book realistic) as the very first... the series is great! Even though I have to admit, that was really disappointed with the ending of this book, when I first read it. Actually I didn't want to read on... but fortunately, I did!

However, the characters are great, the way even the citizens Morganville's react is realistic. But, as always, there are content mistakes: First, Monica would never ever fit in Claire's clothes. I mean Monica is always described as hot, with many curves et cetera. You couldn't say that about Claire for sure. Second, Theo doesn't have a son called Jochen. His sons are Virgil and Clarence (what names!). Apropos Theo: In the first scene he is with two humans. Than, in the next scene with him one of the humans has died, but two humans are left... I'm not a mathematician, but that seems a little odd to me. Fourth, it is said earlier that the Common Grounds is very important (strategically) and has a portal. But Myrnin says it hasn't. That doesn't make sense.  And, last but not least: After Sam there was only one person under the Founder's protection: Claire. Not Mills. No one ever talked of Mills!

I give this book a star for characters, a star for ideas, for the style and one for the citizens. You'll understand why if you read it. Unfortunately, I have to delete one star for the mistakes in this book.
