Pan Trilogie (2) - Die dunkle Prophezeiung des Pan by Sandra Regnier
And part number 2 of the trilogy Die dunkle Prophezeiung des Pan! No translations yet, 404 pages. Originally published 2013.
Once Fay is more or less used to the idea of travelling through time, nymphs in a lake, her friend being a Half-Fey and she herself having a special obligation in his home kingdom, the fey want to arrest her because of a murder she had nothing to do with. Lee promises to take care of it - but he disappears without a trace! Fay follows him (accidentally) to the court of Marie Antoinette... with the help of Lees cousin and her teacher Ciaran she tries to rescue Lee... who tripped over a plot against Fay by the mysterious and supposedly non-existing dragons...
I do not like how arrogant Felicity gets from time to time because of Richard Cosgrove. It's good Phyllis set her head were it belonged again.
Her changing relationship to Lee is great. It's good he told her what would happened before he kissed her – or she him (I'm not too sure in which part it was, the first or the second, but it's good he did it in the end).
Ciaran is interesting. He's arrogant and plays with hidden cards, but he's funny. And this game the friends play in the lesson – so. Gorgeous!
Apropos friends: It's great how they as a group – but also Fay alone – gain self-esteem. Finally. It was about time. And how they use it against the other Felicity and her friends? Nice. I'm, by the way, kinda sorry for Felicity Stratton.
Mildred rocks!
The plot with Avalon and what Fay does there the whole time? Nice. As is the time travel training – or however one can call that.
But apart from that, it is really cool. The book is still funny, but, unfortunately not as funny as the first.
I give it a star for characters, style, ideas and content.
